Two Projects, One Soul.

Some people look for a place to stay, we looked for a place to be.
Take-YourTime.com was born from a shared urgency: the need to slow down, to silence the digital noise, and to reclaim sovereignty over our own time. More than a platform or a concept, this is our manifesto - the art of living time.

 

With decades of experience in financial multinationals and the world of arts, we - Jorge and Olga - are an urban couple who once lived at the very center of modern acceleration. It was in the junction between management's rigor and artistic sensibility that we found our commitment: to balance ambitions and responsibilities with a more balanced lifestyle. We believe in a different way of existing, where the present is embraced in harmony with nature and where professional and personal lives do not negate each other, but coexist.

And because every thought needs a ground to flourish, we built ours at Casa de Sobrado Countryside House.

This centennial property, the result of a careful rehabilitation of an old farmhouse, is the physical embodiment of the Take-YourTime.com manifesto. A place designed to enjoy rurality and nature in an atmosphere of tranquility.

It all began in 2019. While planning the next chapter of our lives, our search led us to an old house, once forgotten and abandoned, where everything finally made sense. The enchantment was immediate. We were captivated by the character of its original features and the energy of the site. Between the rusticity of the granite stone and the serenity of the countryside, we discovered the perfect harmony with nature and the peace of this village. In that moment, we knew we had found our place.

Fully aware of the undertaking that awaited us, we set to work with unwavering determination, driven by the certainty that this would be the stage for our next chapter. For two years, the restoration project was carried out with meticulous care and much love. We respected the traditional details and integrated contemporary elements to ensure maximum comfort.

By preserving the architectural and landscape heritage of the village of Barros, in Vila Verde – Portugal – we created more than just accommodation: we built a sanctuary where time became a place. Casa de Sobrado is the family home where ancient stones and the green landscape taught us that silence is not empty - it is the space where everything gains meaning.

Since 2025, we have proudly opened our doors to the world, offering an experience of genuine and authentic hospitality so that our vision is not just read, but lived.

Here, we are curators of your rest. We have created this ecosystem so that, upon crossing our gate, you feel that the manifesto you read on the screen has gained body and form. So that you can, finally, find your own time again.
